Responsibilities
- Provide friendly companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
- Prepare simple meals and assist with meal planning as needed.
- Provide medication reminders as directed by the care plan.
- Assist with errands, shopping, and other routine activities.
- Accompany clients to appointments, activities, or community outings when appropriate.
- Encourage social interaction and recreational activities.
- Assist with personal routines within the scope of the position and applicable regulations.
- Observe and report changes in a client's condition, behavior, or needs to the appropriate supervisor or family member.
- Maintain client privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
- Follow the client's care plan and Golden Heart Companion Care policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and trustworthy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a care team.
- Previous caregiving, companion care, home care, or senior-care experience is preferred.
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet company hiring requirements.
- Reliable transportation may be required depending on the client's needs and assignment.
