Material Handler

To operate and oversee all aspects of the Baler, Shredder, and Sorting area. Sort good product from damaged product. Feed materials into shredder for recycling.

Qualifications:

• The following is intended to be used as a general guideline and checklist for evaluating and qualifying employees as a Baler/Sorter. 

Physically Capable:

• Lifting 30 -50 pounds occasionally
• Pushing and pulling occasionally
• Standing for long periods
• Bending frequently
• Twisting and kneeling frequently
• Single grasping frequently

Safety:

• Wear PPE
• Knowledge of all machine controls and respective functions
• Demonstrate safe work habits and good housekeeping practices
• Work in a safe and productive manner
• Identify and report work hazards

Ability to read and understand production orders:

• Read and understand waste ticket
• Read and understand bale ticket
• Identify bad board from good board
• Product routing through plant
