Job Description
Perfecto Staffing is looking for Material Handlers to start MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28TH. This is a 1st Shift - 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Starting pay is $17.00/HR. This is a TEMP-TO-HIRE Opportunity
POSITION SUMMARY
The Material Handler is responsible for the movement, storage, and distribution of raw materials, finished goods, and supplies within the warehouse or production facility. This role ensures that materials are received, stored, handled, and delivered accurately and efficiently to support business operations while maintaining safety, quality, and inventory control standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments.
• Verify quantities and documentation against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.
• Store materials in designated warehouse locations following established procedures.
• Pick, stage, and transport materials to production areas or shipping locations.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning systems, inventory software, or manual logs.
• Conduct cycle counts and assists with physical inventory audits.
• Ensure materials are properly labeled, organized, and stored.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
• Keep warehouse and work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Assist with shipping, packaging, and order fulfillment activities as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling experience preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
• Basic computer skills and experience using inventory management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience in medical device, pharmaceuticals, or regulated healthcare distribution preferred
• Work schedule expectations (shift work, weekends, holidays,)
Preferred Qualifications
• Forklift certification.
• Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Physical Requirements
Exposure to environmental conditions (noise, temperature extremes, dust, chemicals, outdoor weather conditions) ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate or be certified on warehouse equipment as required.
