Evening/Night Transportation Driver

Rideaway LLC is hiring a dependable Evening/Night Transportation Driver in the Park Rapids area.

We provide the vehicle and fuel, pay $18.00–$20.00 per hour, offer paid sick leave and additional PTO, and employees become eligible for up to $3,000 per year in tuition reimbursement after one year of service.

Paid training is provided, and previous professional driving experience is not required.

Schedule

This position begins with two evening/night shifts per week, generally:

5:00 p.m.–2:00 a.m.

Each shift includes:

• One 30-minute unpaid meal break
• Two paid 15-minute rest breaks

This equals approximately 8.5 paid hours per shift, or 17 paid hours per week at the initial schedule.

The position is expected to grow toward approximately 40 hours per week within the next six months, depending on business growth and transportation demand.

Part-time employees accrue paid leave based on their schedule, with benefits increasing as scheduled hours increase.

What You'll Do

• Safely transport passengers to their requested destinations
• Operate a company-provided vehicle
• Communicate with dispatch regarding ride assignments, pickups, drop-offs, delays, and passenger needs
• Provide courteous, respectful, and professional customer service
• Use GPS navigation to locate pickup and drop-off locations
• Complete required vehicle inspections
• Maintain accurate trip, mileage, fuel, and vehicle records
• Keep the assigned vehicle clean, organized, and ready for passenger service
• Provide reasonable assistance to passengers when appropriate
• Report vehicle problems, safety concerns, incidents, or unusual circumstances promptly
• Complete required electronic forms and trip documentation
• Follow company safety, confidentiality, and transportation policies

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is dependable, responsible, comfortable working independently, and able to work professionally with the public.

Applicants must:

• Have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Be able to consistently work scheduled 5:00 p.m.–2:00 a.m. shifts
• Be comfortable driving during evening and nighttime hours
• Be comfortable driving in changing Minnesota weather and road conditions
• Communicate professionally with passengers and dispatch
• Be able to use a smartphone, GPS navigation, text messaging, and basic electronic forms
• Be able to pass the required background check/background study
• Be able to pass a pre-employment urine drug screening
• Be able to pass a DOT medical examination
• Meet Rideaway LLC and commercial automobile insurance driving requirements
• Complete required company training

Previous experience in customer service, healthcare, taxi, shuttle, passenger transportation, delivery, or professional driving is helpful but not required.

Medical transportation experience is welcome but not required.

Room to Grow

This position is being created as Rideaway LLC continues to expand. The driver hired for this role will have the opportunity to increase their hours, qualify for medical transportation work, and potentially move into a full-time 40-hour-per-week position within approximately six months.
