Specimen Technician

Pride Health is hiring a Specimen Technician to support client’s medical facility in Jefferson City MO 65109 this is a 3-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity, and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
 

Job Title: Specimen Technician
Location: Jefferson City MO 65109
Duration: 3 Months
Pay Range: $17.75 - $20.43 Per Hour 
Schedule: 8:00AM to 5:00Pm 

Key Responsibilities

Process, prepare, label, and route patient specimens accurately according to client and hospital procedures.
Perform accessioning/pre-accessioning, test ordering, and specimen send-out activities while following required guidelines.
Troubleshoot specimen issues including missing information, TIQ, TNP, additional sample requests, and test cancellations.
Utilize hospital LIS and client systems to enter, track, and maintain accurate specimen and testing information.
Maintain accurate documentation, follow safety/compliance requirements, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Troubleshoot specimen-related issues, including missing information, specimen requirements, TIQ (Test in Question), TNP (Test Not Performed), and additional sample requests.
Research and resolve client and specimen-related issues within the assigned area.

Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or GED is required.
1-5 years relevant experience required.
