Lead Water Damage & Mold Remediation Specialist
IAQ Experts is hiring an experienced Lead Restoration Technician to join our growing water damage, mold remediation, and indoor air quality team.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can manage restoration projects, lead technicians, and complete work safely and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Lead water damage and mold remediation projects
- Perform water extraction, structural drying, demolition, and cleanup
- Set and monitor dehumidifiers, air movers, and HEPA air scrubbers
- Perform moisture mapping and maintain drying logs
- Build containment and establish negative air when required
- Remove affected drywall, insulation, flooring, trim, and other materials
- Perform HEPA vacuuming, cleaning, and antimicrobial treatment
- Take before, during, and after photos
- Provide daily job updates and communicate with customers
- Train and supervise technicians
- Assist with HVAC and indoor air quality projects when needed
Qualifications
Water damage/restoration experience is required.
Preferred experience includes:
- Water mitigation and structural drying
- Mold remediation and containment
- Moisture meters and restoration equipment
- Demolition and cleanup
- HVAC/duct cleaning
IICRC certifications are strongly preferred. Texas MRC or MAC is a major plus.
Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, dependable attendance, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift restoration equipment and work in attics, crawlspaces, and other demanding environments.
