About the Role:
America's Service Station in Alpharetta, GA is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor/Writer to join our team! This is your opportunity to be the vital link between our customers and our skilled technicians, delivering a seamless and trustworthy auto service experience. Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and conduct vehicle walkarounds to assess service needs and concerns
- Write accurate and detailed repair orders based on customer descriptions and technician inspections
- Communicate vehicle diagnosis, recommended repairs, and service timelines clearly to customers
- Provide cost estimates and obtain customer approvals prior to initiating repairs
- Coordinate workflow between customers and service technicians to ensure timely vehicle completion
- Follow up with customers on vehicle status and notify them of any additional repairs or delays
- Upsell preventative maintenance services and additional repairs based on vehicle inspections
- Process payments and review completed repair orders with customers at vehicle delivery
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or similar customer-facing auto service role
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, maintenance schedules, and repair terminology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and manage workflow in a high-volume service environment
- Experience with auto service management software (AllData, Tekmetric, RO Writer, or similar)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills
