Delivery Driver

Job Overview: The Bulk Delivery Driver drives a scheduled route to customers to deliver propane into the on-site storage tank. After the route is complete, the Bulk Delivery Driver reloads the trucks for the next day’s routes. The Bulk Delivery Driver needs to be able to operate the equipment safely and communicate with customers and other employees in order to provide safe and professional customer service.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Delivers propane to businesses and homes

• Safely operates delivery truck in all conditions and traffic

• Completes daily paperwork and use on board computer to make deliveries

• Communicates with customers and other drivers to provide professional customer service

• Knowledgeable about installation requirements to identify a potentially unsafe condition

• Safely loads truck and makes deliveries

• Does daily inspections of truck and equipment and notifies management if a repair is needed

• Keeps truck and work area clean and neat

• Maintains necessary driving requirements and licenses

• Meets necessary lifting requirements

• Completes gas System Check and restart system when necessary

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required

• Strong mechanical service background, preferably in the Propane Gas, Natural Gas, Oil Heat, Gas Plumbing, Gas Appliance Repair or Gas HVAC

• Must have a Class A or Class B CDL

• Must have Hazmat endorsements, or be able to obtain them quickly

• Good driving record

• Physically able to lift up to 60 pounds, in all weather conditions

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
