Surgical Technologist - Operating Room Location
Beckley, WV
Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.
ScheduleShift: 06:30-15:00, with potential for dedicated weekend shifts and additional on-call requirements.
Job DescriptionThe Surgical Technologist will provide support in the operating room, assisting surgical teams in delivering quality care. The role requires expertise in various specialties including General, GYN, Vascular, Orthopaedic, Urology, Podiatry, and experience with Da Vinci Robot systems.
Responsibilities- Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments for procedures.
- Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile field.
- Manage the inventory of surgical supplies and instruments.
- Assist in the transportation and positioning of patients.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
- Minimum of 2 years as a surgical technologist.
- Required certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting).
- State certification/licensure required to work as a surgical technologist in West Virginia.
- Experience in multiple surgical specialties preferred.
