CNA Certified

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate, hands-on care to long-term care residents, hospital and rehabilitation patients, and home care clients. Reporting to a registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, nurse manager, or director of nursing, the CNA supports daily patient needs across day, evening, overnight, and rotating shifts while promoting comfort, dignity, safety, and effective care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Monitor and record vital signs.
• Assist patients with mobility and transfers.
• Support personal hygiene and meal assistance.
• Document patient care and observations in electronic health records.
• Monitor patient safety and follow infection control practices.
• Provide comfort measures and compassionate communication.
• Collaborate with the care team to support patient needs.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program.
• Current state CNA certification.
• Experience or demonstrated ability in activities of daily living assistance.
• Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and patient transfers.
• Understanding of infection control and patient safety practices.
• Ability to use electronic health records.
• Compassionate communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in certified nursing assistant care.
