Position - Yard Goat

Schedule - 2nd shift Tuesday – Friday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM

Pay Rate - $21-$24

Location - Riverside

Job SummaryResponsible for the safe and efficient movement and positioning of trailers within a warehouse, distribution center, or rail yard. This role is critical to maintaining an organized yard and ensuring the timely flow of trailers to and from loading docks for shipping and receiving operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely move trailers between dock doors, staging areas, and designated yard locations using a yard truck (terminal tractor).
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any mechanical issues.
• Ensure trailers are correctly aligned for loading and unloading.
• Perform basic yard maintenance, yard checks, and maintain accurate records of trailer movements.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
• May be required to assist with other warehouse duties, such as material handling or operating other equipment like a forklift, during downtime.
