Applications Programmer 3

This position reports directly to the Supervisor of Application Development and is considered entry/intermediate skill level. This position will have a primary responsibility of supporting smaller-scale enhancements of existing web applications or participating in projects for the creation of new web applications while adhering to defined coding standards and practices. The position will be expected to become familiar with the team's current choice of technology.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience and/or training
• 2+ years of experience using Angular
• 2+ years of experience using Java 8 and above
• 2+ years of experience using Spring
• 2+ years of experience using JPA
• 2+ years of experience using Maven
• Software development experience using Java, JavaScript, or similar web development programming language(s)
• Understands latest technology trends and has used at least some of the latest technologies
• Willing to provide a portfolio of work produced.
• Experience using design patterns and data structures
• Experience using Eclipse or similar IDE
• Advanced technical skills and understanding of a myriad of technology used in web application development
• Coding experience using Java and JavaScript, preferably using or familiar with Spring Boot and Angular.
• Ability to design, develop, implement, debug and test user interfaces.
• Experience using or familiarity with front-end API programming a plus.
• Must be able to work independently with little direction.
• Must be able to provide work estimates and deliver maintainable projects on schedule.
• Must possess excellent testing, debugging and problem solving skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Expected to adapt to a dynamic and collaborative work environment and make independent decisions.
• Adequate technical skills and understanding of a myriad of technology used in web application development.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and respective roles.
• Experience developing applications at some level (desktop or web)Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to integrate new and existing applications
• Ability to re-factor existing applications or understand the practice of refactoring

• Experience working in a University environment with faculty clients is essential.

• Experience with Cypress.
• Experience with Docker.
• Experience with Node.Js.
• Experience with CSS.
• Experience with web containers such as Tomcat, JBoss, and Glassfish.
• Experience using relational databases such as MySQL, MS SQL.
• Writing functional and detailed technical specifications for application code developed.

• Ability to manage and prioritize project requirements.
