We are partnering with a client on the west side of Columbus, OH that is looking to add a Driver Compliance Coordinator to its team. This position will support both new and current drivers, helping ensure documentation, testing, and other requirements remain current and compliant. This could be a great fit for someone coming from a logistics, transportation, HR, onboarding, or compliance background who enjoys detailed administrative work and working with people.
The ideal candidate will be outgoing, organized, comfortable asking questions, and able to manage a high volume of detailed information accurately.
This position will sit onsite and start on a contract basis. This role has the potential to extend and potentially convert depending on performance and business needs.

Job Responsibilities:
- Review driver records and documentation to ensure ongoing compliance with DOT and company requirements, including licenses, registrations, physicals, insurance, and motor vehicle records
- Coordinate required background checks, drug and alcohol testing, and other driver screening or compliance activities
- Support the onboarding, qualification, and termination processes for commercial drivers and independent contractors
- Monitor expiring or changing driver credentials, follow up on outstanding documentation, and escalate compliance concerns when necessary
- Maintain accurate compliance records, complete employment verification requests, and assist with recurring reporting and regulatory documentation
- Utilize Excel and internal systems for data entry, tracking, reporting, and record maintenance while partnering closely with recruiting, operations, and compliance teams
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education or training in HR, logistics, transportation, or a related area is a plus
- At least 2 years of previous experience in logistics, transportation, HR, onboarding, compliance, recruiting support, or a similar administrative environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately manage documentation, deadlines, and confidential information
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel for data entry, formatting, tracking, and general spreadsheet management; pivot table experience is a plus but not required
- Strong communication and follow-up skills with the confidence to ask questions, work across teams, and resolve missing or incomplete information
- Self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented with the ability to prioritize responsibilities and work effectively with limited supervision
