Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Administrator to support daily HR activities and front office operations in California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing employee-facing administrative work with reception support in an organized on-site setting. The person in this role will help keep HR processes organized, provide a welcoming experience for visitors and candidates, and contribute to smooth office coordination.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome employees, applicants, and guests at the front desk while creating a courteous first impression.
• Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the HR function by organizing records, entering information accurately, and maintaining documentation.
• Coordinate pre-employment and onboarding activities, including preparing onboarding materials, supporting screening process steps, and updating employee files.
• Arrange interviews, meetings, and other appointments by managing calendars and communicating with internal teams and candidates.
• Support benefit-related and general HR administrative tasks by preparing forms, tracking paperwork, and responding to routine inquiries.
• Manage incoming mail, order office supplies, and help maintain shared spaces so the workplace remains efficient and well organized.
• Draft and process routine business and legal correspondence, forms, and related documentation with a high level of accuracy.
• Handle sensitive employee and company information with discretion and follow confidentiality standards at all times.
• Assist with additional HR or office projects as priorities shift during the contract assignment.• At least 1 year of experience in HR administration, reception, front desk support, or a related administrative role.
• Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish are required.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities with a detail-focused and service-oriented approach.
• Proven organizational skills with close attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience supporting onboarding activities, employee documentation, background checks, or general HR processes is preferred.
• Ability to work on site in Watsonville, California and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
