In this role, you'll be the mastermind behind the movement, positioning trailers, fueling equipment, running the wash bay, and making sure every truck is ready to hit the road. From the dock to the fuel island, you'll play a key role in keeping our distribution operation moving at full speed.

Compensation 

• $23.10 per hour with an average of 40 hours weekly  
• Time and a half overtime pay after 40 hours
• Quarterly profit-sharing bonus
• Yard Jockey Referral Bonus:  $500
• Paid via direct deposit bi-weekly

Home Time, Route, & Schedule

• Home Daily! 
• Schedule: 4-day 10 hour rotating schedule
• Shift Time: 5am-3:30pm 
• Route: May leave the yard for special deliveries as needed
• Level of Touch: May help unload as needed

• Volvo tractors (automatic transmission) - replaced every 7 years
• 53ft refrigerated trailers – set up into 3 zones (Cooler/Freezer/Ambient)
• Sheetz Brothers Kitchen refrigerated van (Non CDL)
• Air Ride seats
• Inward/Outward facing cameras
• Sirius Satellite Radio
• Governed to 68 MPH

Responsibilities

• Make scheduled pick-ups at assigned vendors.
• Act as a relief driver to assist without service reasons.
• Perform special deliveries to stores or other events as scheduled.
• Position trucks and trailer at the appropriate dock location.
• Turn on refer units and ensure the units are functioning properly.
• Ensure the cooler and freezer areas of the trailer are at appropriate temperatures prior to products being loaded.
• Hook tractors with assigned trailers.
• Deliver truck to fuel island for re-fueling purposes.
• Run equipment through wash bay and hand polish chromes wheels and bumpers as assigned.
• Maintain daily activity log to reflect positioning, fueling, repairs, etc. by equipment and type.

Qualifications 

• Must be minimum of 21 years old and eligible to engage in interstate travel
• Must have CDL A license
• 2 years of verifiable tractor trailer experience with 130,000 miles
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
• A valid DOT medical card must be obtained during hiring process through Sheetz approved facility
• Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations 
• Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen 
• Tools & Equipment (Other than general office equipment):
  • Hand tools (hammer, measuring devices, wrench, level, etc.)
  • Motorized Equipment (generators, pressure washer, fork lift, etc.)
• Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 1 hour and 15-minute commute distance from Findlay, OH  (average 50 mile radius) or be willing to relocate for this position
