Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
The warehouse worker assembles complex structures, support components, and sub-assemblies by accurately reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints. This role primarily supports construction-related projects, including structures, railings, cables, and framing, while contributing to a variety of fabrication and manufacturing activities.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret drawings and blueprints to ensure assemblies are built accurately and according to specifications.
- Assemble complex structures, support components, and sub-assemblies for construction projects, including railings, cables, framing, and other structural elements.
- Use tape measures to perform precise measurements and verify dimensions throughout the assembly process.
- Operate power tools such as drills and saws safely and efficiently to cut, drill, and shape materials.
- Use hand tools and woodworking tools to perform detailed assembly, fitting, and finishing tasks.
- Assist as a shop helper with general fabrication, material handling, and shop support duties as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in an open shop environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while working with tools, equipment, and materials.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and quality standards.
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality requirements and project specifications.
Essential Skills
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints to ensure assemblies are made correctly.
- Proficiency in using a tape measure for accurate and consistent measurements.
- Experience using power tools, including drills and saws, in a fabrication or construction setting.
- Skill in using hand tools and woodworking tools for assembly and finishing work.
- Basic shop helper experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow written and visual instructions.
- Commitment to working safely in a shop environment that is open to the elements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience assembling structures, railings, cables, framing, or similar construction components.
- Woodworking or general construction is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, family-style environment.

Work Environment

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
