2nd Shift: 3pm–11:30pm (Training on 1st Shift)
Pay: $19/hr to start → $20/hr once moved to 2nd shift
About the RoleJoin our Commercial Finishing Department as a Machine Operator, supporting production by running Winding/Unwinding equipment to reroll finished wallpaper into precise bolt lengths. This is a contract‑to‑hire opportunity with strong growth potential, structured training, and competitive benefits.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Winding/Unwinding machines to reroll finished wallpaper
- Load rolls, set measurements, and start production cycles
- Wrap, label, and palletize finished products for shipment
- Inspect wallpaper for rips, tears, and quality defects
- Track work orders using paper documentation
- Use forklifts or carpet pullers for material handling
- Lift and maneuver rolls weighing 35–45 lbs with electric pallet jacks
- Machine operation & inspection experience
- Ability to lift 40 lbs consistently
- Basic math skills & tape‑measure accuracy
- Mechanical aptitude (slitter, printing, or similar machinery)
- Forklift operation experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to complete paperwork accurately
- Safety‑focused mindset
- Reliability and willingness to learn
- Contract‑to‑hire pathway with pay increases
- Monday–Friday schedule with overtime available
- Annual work boot reimbursement

- 3 weeks of vacation after direct hire
- Raises based on training, certifications, and performance
- Commercial Finishing department (not climate‑controlled; equipped with fans & fatigue mats)
- Four Winding/Unwinding machines, forklifts with pole attachments, electric pallet jacks
- Steel‑toed boots required; warehouse‑professional attire
- No cell phones or earbuds on the floor (speakers allowed at reasonable volume)
- Training on 1st shift before moving to 2nd shift
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
