\n \nOpportunity:
\nRN - Med Surg/Tele
\nJob Details:
\n• Night shifts, 12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
\n • Monday through Friday with weekend rotation and holidays as needed
\n • Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
\n • Self-scheduling
\n • Required to float as needed
\n • No call required
\n • 2 years of experience in Neuro Med/Surg Telemetry required
\n • Epic charting system experience required
\n • Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required
\n • BLS certification required (AHA only)
\n • Trauma Level I experience preferred
\n • Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start with a passing score of 80% or higher (two attempts allowed)
\n • Telemetry exam requires 100% identification of lethal rhythms including ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and asystole
\n • Work on a 25-bed neurosurgery general care unit with both medical and surgical neuro patients
\n • Post-surgical cases may include spine surgeries, brain tumors, craniotomy, and ophthalmology cases
\n • Neurological patient population may include multiple sclerosis, ALS, Guillain-Barre syndrome, trauma, ortho patients with multiple injuries, and spinal fractures requiring orthotics
\n • Work with adults and geriatric patient age groups
\n • Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
\n • Required skills include telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, central line blood draw, PICC line management, blood product administration, heparin and insulin protocols, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and more
\n • Locals within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
