Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview\n

The Registered Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, providing routine and complex care while maintaining an awareness of essential aspects of patient situations. This role includes development of long-range goals and plans, effective management of clinical contingencies, and appropriate delegation of tasks to support comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities\n

• Demonstrates leadership in accordance with the relevant competencies, including Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
\n
• Delivers nursing care utilizing the nursing process, encompassing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
\n
• Addressees complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families according to individual practice levels.
\n
• Administers medications and treatments per protocols, while monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
\n
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care delivered accurately and timely.
\n
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients and their families or caregivers, identifying necessary resources and addressing issues.
\n

Job Requirements Education/Skills\n

\n
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
\n

Experience\n

\n
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.
\n

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications\n

\n
• BLS certification is required.
\n
• Active RN License in the state of employment or a compact license is necessary.
\n

Work Schedule\n

Standard shifts are from 7 AM to 7 PM, with a commitment to working every other weekend.

Additional Information\n

The position does not require on-call duties, and the nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 5:1 or 6:1. The electronic medical record (EMR) system in use is Epic, and the dress code consists of ceil blue scrubs.
