\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
\n • Schedule includes weekends and holidays
\n • Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
\n • Float to UW University as required
\n • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years required
\n • Travel experience required
\n • Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
\n • Epic charting system experience required
\n • Wisconsin RN or Compact RN license required
\n • Required certifications: ACLS (AHA only), BLS (AHA only), PALS (AHA only), TNCC
\n • Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start with a passing score of 80% or higher (two attempts allowed)
\n • Adult Telemetry Exam requires 100% identification of lethal rhythms (ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole) and no incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks
\n • Pediatric Telemetry Exam requires identification of ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia
\n • Must be comfortable treating patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
\n • Skills required include arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, triage, and more
\n • Must be able to manage a wide range of clinical presentations including trauma, psychiatric holds, neuro-trauma, STEMI, stroke, and multi-system organ dysfunction

\nThis state-of-the-art hospital and wellness center is one of the most advanced facilities in the country, offering a holistic approach to healthcare that focuses on both treatment and wellness. The Emergency Department provides comprehensive emergency care to nearly 45,000 patients annually and serves as a critical entry point to the health system. The department is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center and an Acute Stroke Ready Center and has been recognized as a Pediatric Ready Emergency Department. The department includes 40 exam rooms and 19 vertical care spaces, with the ability to flex an additional 20 exam rooms during high-volume surges. The facility coordinates closely with ground ambulance services and Med Flight, and ED nursing and tech staff also serve as the hospital's rapid response team throughout the entire facility.
