Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role requiring 1+ year of vascular experience and ARRT certification.
Details
- Level II Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma short-term acute care hospital with 615 staffed beds
- 4 procedure rooms, 3 with biplane imaging (3 Siemens, 1 GE)
- Wide case variety including stroke intervention, neurointerventions, PE thrombectomy and thrombolysis, DVT interventions, pain management, and oncology procedures (Y-90, MAAs, chemoembolizations)
- Daily caseload of 20-30 cases per tech
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM-6:00 PM
- Weekend work required
- On-call required 8-10 days per month with one Saturday shift monthly, 30-minute response time, on-call sleep rooms available
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs required
- Cerner EMR used
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required, vascular experience required
- BLS and ARRT certification required (ARRT Advanced Cert, ARRT VI preferred)
- FL license required if applicable
- Community hospital and Level I Trauma experience required
- Level II Trauma and teaching hospital experience preferred
- Prior travel experience required
- Skills required in PACS, contrast administration, and biopsies
- Experience required in stents, ablations, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrogram, kyphoplasty, peripheral and upper/lower extremity studies, abdominal/pelvic and vascular studies, neurological studies, and stroke thrombectomy IR procedures
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Date of birth required at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Perform a broad range of IR procedures including genitourinary, abdominal/pelvic, vascular, and neurological interventions
- Maintain equipment, stock supplies, and uphold sterile technique and infection control standards
- Scrub color requirement: black or navy
- COVID-19 vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions accepted
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
- No RTO permitted during contract
- Former permanent employees must wait at least 12 months before returning as a travel clinician
- Must be willing to float within the assigned hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
- Pass/fail EKG exam required (up to 3 attempts)
