Restaurant Area Director – South Jersey
Location: Deptford, NJ / South Jersey
Salary: Up to $75,000 + Competitive Profit-Based Incentive

A growing restaurant organization is seeking an experienced Restaurant Area Director to oversee multiple locations throughout the South Jersey market. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on multi-unit restaurant leader who knows how to develop strong General Managers, improve operational performance, and drive results across multiple locations.
The ideal candidate is highly visible in the restaurants, comfortable holding teams accountable, and equally strong with people development, restaurant operations, and financial performance.
What You'll Do
- Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple restaurant locations in the South Jersey region
- Lead, coach, and develop General Managers and restaurant leadership teams
- Drive sales, profitability, guest satisfaction, and operational execution
- Review and manage multiple P&Ls, including labor, food costs, sales, and controllable expenses
- Conduct regular restaurant visits to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Establish clear expectations and accountability for General Managers
- Ensure consistency in food quality, service, cleanliness, and overall guest experience
- Support recruiting, hiring, training, retention, and leadership development
- Partner with senior leadership on budgets, forecasts, operational goals, and growth initiatives
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health, and company standards
- Identify performance gaps and implement actionable plans to improve results
- Support continued growth and operational consistency as the organization expands
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of progressive restaurant management experience
- Previous multi-unit restaurant leadership experience required
- Proven ability to lead and develop General Managers
- Strong understanding of restaurant P&Ls, labor management, food cost, budgeting, and profitability
- Track record of improving restaurant performance and building accountable teams
- Hands-on leadership style with a strong presence in the restaurants
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Willingness to travel regularly between South Jersey locations

- Base salary up to $75,000, based on experience
