As a Therapeutic Behavior Support Staff with Family Pride, you have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families throughout Northeast Ohio. You won't be limited to a traditional office setting. Our TBS provide services where clients are most comfortable and where support is needed most—including homes, schools, virtual, communities, and office settings.

Position Overview

Family Pride of Northeast Ohio, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dedicated TBS Staff to provide individualized, community-based support to children, adults, and families. Under the direction of our TBS Team Lead, this position works directly with clients and families to build skills, increase independence, strengthen connections to community resources, and support success in home, school, work, and community settings.

What You’ll Do

• Build meaningful, supportive relationships with clients and families while encouraging progress toward individualized goals.
• Help clients develop independence, confidence, and practical daily living skills.
• Support clients in navigating home, school, employment, and community environments.
• Connect individuals and families with community resources, natural supports, and appropriate services.
• Provide mental health and/or SUD case management interventions that address identified needs, symptoms, behaviors, and barriers to success.
• Collaborate with families, schools, community providers, and other members of the treatment team to ensure coordinated support.
• Monitor client progress and help identify strategies that promote continued growth and success.
• Provide prevention and educational interventions related to mental health and SUD services as appropriate.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential documentation and records.
• Participate in clinical supervision and utilize team support to maintain an effective and balanced caseload.
• Maintain a professional, respectful, flexible, and positive approach when working with clients, families, and community partners. 

Parenting Education Responsibilities

When providing Parenting Education Programs, this position will also:

• Plan, organize, and facilitate parent education programs designed to strengthen family relationships and promote positive parenting practices.
• Support parents and caregivers in developing practical skills that promote healthy family functioning.
• Complete required data collection, documentation, and record keeping accurately and within established timelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least a high school diploma 
• Minimum four years of experience in a human service-related field. 
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, child development or related field from an accredited college or institution is preferred 
• Possess good communication skills
• Ability to work with a diverse population and needs effectively  
• Effectively interpret and understand client’s and identify a unique approach to treatment.  
• Must have the ability to maintain and respect confidentiality. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL 

Work Environment: This position operates primarily in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing systems. Occasional travel to community sites, partner organizations, and board meetings is required. Physical Demands: The role requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, use hands to operate office equipment, and communicate effectively in person and via electronic means. Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds may be required. Sensory Requirements: Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Requires visual acuity to read and interpret documents, data, and computer screens. Schedule and Hours: This is a full-time, exempt position. This position is expected to work a standard workweek, with occasional evening or weekend hours to attend meetings, events, or respond to urgent organizational needs. Travel: The position requires local and regional travel to meetings, events, and partner sites. Occasional overnight travel may be necessary for conferences, training, or funder meetings. Staff must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Ohio, meet insurability requirements under the organization’s vehicle use policy, maintain appropriate auto insurance coverage, and have access to a reliable vehicle.
