POSITION SUMMARY

Assists Maintenance Technician in troubleshooting and making mechanical repairs to equipment while training to perform the essential job responsibilities outlined below. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists Maintenance Technician in the following: Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment, and gas fired boiler and furnaces including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment.
• Works in compliance with OSHA requirements.
• Advises operators and line mechanics of operation procedures and informs management of potential mechanical problems and inherent dangers.
• Adjusts to and follows new procedures and innovations, which would add efficiency and safety of the operation.
• Operates man-lifts, forklifts and cranes.
• Must achieve Maintenance Technician Trainee within 24 months.

Education and/or Experience: 

High School diploma or GED required. Some community college level courses in Maintenance Technology or related program preferred. Must pass Ramsay Mechanical Reasoning Assessment. Two or more years production experience within one of Eupora’s value streams preferred. Must have worked previous Maintenance shutdowns. Must have an exemplary record for the following: attendance, safety, quality and job performance.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
