Accounting Manager
Fusco Personnel is actively recruiting for an Accounting Manager to join our well-respected client in the Capital Region area. This is a full-time, temporary opportunity to join a well-respected organization!
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise A/P, Payroll and General Ledger staff.
- Ensure requisitions and purchase orders get approved through Banner workflow.
- Review bank reconciliations; assisting staff as needed.
- Review adjusting journal entries to ensure completeness of close process.
- Follow up and ensure staff respond to questions regarding vendor payments, past spending and/or grant questions.
- Bill grant managers monthly.
- Assemble quarterly grant expenditure reports.
- Supervise the completion and submission of the year-end tax compliance documents.
- Work with staff to ensure recurring payments are made timely.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- Prior Supervisory experience
- Accounting month-end and year-end close experience
- Payroll Experience
- Accounts Payable experience
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Accounting Manager
- Previous experience in Higher Education
Pay Range:
$35.00-$44.00/hour (based on experience)
