Simply Great Staffing is hiring a Counter Sales & Customer Service Representative for a leading electrical distribution company in Kent, WA.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping customers, solving problems, building relationships, and working in a fast-paced environment. As the face of the branch, you'll assist contractors, commercial accounts, industrial customers, and walk-in clients while supporting sales and day-to-day operations.

While experience in electrical distribution is highly valued, candidates with backgrounds in industrial supply, construction materials, building products, contractor sales, counter sales, customer service, or inside sales are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting electrical products, materials, tools, lighting, wire and cable, controls, and distribution equipment.
• Process customer orders, quotations, sales transactions, and returns accurately and efficiently.
• Build strong customer relationships through exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
• Provide product recommendations and solutions based on customer needs.
• Coordinate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, and in person.
• Source special-order materials and identify alternative products when needed.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, quotations, inventory movements, and customer interactions.
• Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and cycle counts.
• Maintain an organized and professional sales counter environment.
• Stay informed on industry trends, manufacturer offerings, and new products.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in counter sales, inside sales, customer service, industrial supply, construction materials, building products, contractor sales, electrical distribution, or a related industry preferred.
• Electrical product knowledge is highly desirable but not required for candidates with strong sales, customer service, or supply industry experience.
• Experience using ERP systems, inventory management software, point-of-sale systems, or order entry platforms.
• Ability to review customer orders, material lists, specifications, and product requirements.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

• Full-Time
• 40 hours per week
• Monday-Friday
• 8-hour shift scheduled between 5:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• In-person position located in Kent, WA
