Construction Specialist - HYBRID ROLE

HIRING: CONSTRUCTION SPECIALIST | GREATER CHICAGO AREA (HYBRID ROLE)

We’re looking for a Construction Specialist to join an engineering and consulting team supporting commercial, institutional, infrastructure, healthcare, and mission-critical projects.

Location: Greater Chicago Area

Work Arrangement: Hybrid | On-site + Remote

Job Type: Full-Time

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate and oversee construction activities and field operations

• Support site inspections and verify work against drawings, codes, and quality standards

• Review construction documents, plans, and specifications

• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and progress

• Prepare project reports and maintain accurate documentation

• Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and clients

• Track field issues and help resolve construction conflicts

• Support safe, timely, cost-effective project delivery

What We’re Looking For

• Experience with commercial, institutional, infrastructure, healthcare, or similar construction projects

• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and field coordination

• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings

• Experience with inspections, quality control, and code compliance

• Knowledge of budgeting, estimating, and cost tracking

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project documentation tools

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field — or equivalent experience

⭐ Healthcare, mission critical, education, government, industrial, wastewater, construction experience is required.

⭐ Knowledge of sustainable, energy-efficient construction is a plus.
