Cash Applications Specialist

Financial Additions is seeking a detail-oriented Cash Application and Reconcilations Specialist for a 4+ month contract role in Irving. This is an onsite position, with possible work-from-home opportunities on occasion.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately post ACH, wire, credit card, and refund payments to customer accounts within established timelines.
• Research and resolve unapplied cash, unidentified payments, discrepancies, and payment exceptions.
• Reconcile bank deposits and unapplied balances to D365 postings and assist with month-end close.
• Process refunds and small-balance write-offs while following internal controls and SOX requirements.
• Communicate with customers and internal departments to resolve payment issues and discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate cash application records and support process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Assist with special projects and other cash management activities as needed.

Qualifications include:

• 2+ years of experience as a Cash Application Specialist, or an Accounts Receivable role with cash applicattion and reconciliation duties.
• Experience handling ACH, wires, credit cards, refunds, and other payment methods.
• Strong reconciliation, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• D365 experience; cash application or posting automation, is a plus.
• Knowledge of GAAP and SOX controls preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Associate's degree or some college preferred.
