You know how to install garage doors. You know what a quality installation looks like. And when another installer runs into a problem, you're probably already the person they call.

If that sounds familiar, we want to talk with you.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Garage Door Installer who can combine strong hands-on installation skills with leadership, training, troubleshooting, and quality control.

You'll still be in the field doing what you know best, but you'll also help develop installers, oversee more complex jobs, troubleshoot difficult installations, and make sure our customers receive consistently high-quality work.

Your Role

As our Lead Installer, you'll:

• Perform residential garage door and operator installations
• Take the lead on major and complex installation projects
• Train and mentor installers
• Help onboard and develop new installation team members
• Establish and reinforce installation best practices
• Inspect field work and maintain quality standards
• Troubleshoot difficult installation issues
• Review warranty callbacks and help determine what went wrong
• Identify ways to reduce mistakes and repeat service calls
• Work with sales and customers on larger projects
• Reinforce job-site safety and proper PPE use
• Help crews stay organized, prepared, and properly stocked
• Provide feedback and ideas that improve field efficiency

What You Bring

We're looking for someone with extensive experience in garage door and operator installation and repair.

You should understand:

• Proper measuring and installation specifications
• Headroom and sideroom requirements
• Standard and low-headroom installations
• Torsion and specialty applications
• Jackshaft requirements
• Operator installation and setup
• Garage door wiring requirements
• Troubleshooting installation problems
• Quality-control inspections

Leadership experience is valuable, but just as important is your ability to teach, communicate, solve problems, and hold yourself and others to a high standard.

Additional Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer-service skills
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Dependable and professional
• Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs. for up to 50 feet
• Comfortable climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials
