Maintenance Technician (2nd and 3rd shift)

Snak King is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to help minimize downtime and keep our manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently. 

The ideal candidate has strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills and is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose electrical systems and components up to 480 VAC.
• Install, program, and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Troubleshoot sensors, photo eyes, temperature controls, thermocouples, actuators, and low-voltage AC/DC control circuits.
• Troubleshoot automated packaging equipment, including baggers, scales, metal detectors, printers, and related systems.
• Work with PLCs, including uploading/downloading programs and using ladder logic to troubleshoot equipment. MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
• Repair and maintain gearboxes, conveyors, blowers, compressors, pumps, valves, drives, and other mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam systems.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance calls.
• Complete assigned work orders and assist with maintaining spare-parts inventory.
• Follow all company safety, GMP, OSHA, and food-manufacturing requirements. 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade-school training preferred.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with industrial production or manufacturing equipment.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, electrical controls, sensors, and automated equipment.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical diagrams and schematics.
• Ability to use electrical testing equipment and standard maintenance tools.
• Ability to operate a mobile lift truck.
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. 

Physical & Work Environment

This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position that may require climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting. The position may require exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and involves working around production equipment, electrical systems, elevated work areas, noise, oils, and moving mechanical parts.
