About the Role

As an RN – Pre-Op (Peds), you’ll play a critical role in preparing pediatric patients for surgical procedures. Your expertise and care will help ensure that children and their families feel supported and at ease during what can be a stressful time. This position is ideal for a nurse with at least 1 year of experience who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and prepare pediatric patients for pre-operative procedures.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
• Monitor patient vitals and administer necessary pre-operative medications.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Uphold the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and patient care.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with a focus on pediatric or pre-operative care preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with young patients and their families.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
