Construction Superintendent

Sevan is seeking an experienced local Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for a long-term large commercial construction project in Sandusky, Ohio. The Superintendent is responsible for managing on-site construction activities, including subcontractor coordination, safety, quality, schedule performance, and project execution from mobilization through closeout.

• Travel: None at this time, but may be required for future projects.

Work Conditions & Location:

This is an on-site role at the location of the project in Sandusky, OH for the next 12 months. Multi-shift work may be required to accomplish work in active retail locations to meet aggressive schedules.

What You'll Do:

• Lead all day-to-day field operations on a complex commercial/institutional construction project
• Manage subcontractors, site logistics, safety, quality, and schedule performance
• Drive project milestones through detailed planning and coordination
• Conduct daily field meetings and weekly look-ahead planning sessions
• Coordinate inspections, turnover activities, and owner-facing site meetings
• Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining schedule and budget objectives
• Maintain strong client relationships and represent Sevan on-site throughout the project lifecycle

What We're Looking For:

• 8+ years of commercial or institutional construction experience as an active Superintendent
• Experience serving as a Superintendent on ground-up and/or major renovation projects
• Strong concrete construction experience, including foundations, slab-on-grade, formwork, reinforcing steel, and concrete placement
• Proven ability to lead subcontractors and maintain aggressive project schedules
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)

• $100,000 - $125,000+ based on experience
