Location: Cypress, TX

Pay Rate: Starting at $16.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:45 AM-5:00 PM

Dean's Professional Services is seeking a dependable, professional, and customer-focused Patient Access Representative to support a leading healthcare organization in Cypress, TX. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong customer service and administrative skills who is eager to learn and grow in a healthcare environment. Limited healthcare experience is welcome, as the team is willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in a professional, friendly, and compassionate manner.

   

• Obtain and accurately enter patient demographic, insurance, and financial information into the computer system.

   

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and ensure required information is completed accurately and timely.

   

• Assist patients with required forms and obtain necessary signatures.

   

• Ensure medical necessity requirements are met by gathering required information and communicating applicable details to patients or their representatives.

   

• Schedule follow-up appointments in Epic (EMR) as needed.

   

• Provide general administrative and front-desk support.

   

• Communicate professionally with patients, families, physicians, nursing units, ancillary departments, insurance companies, and other healthcare staff.

   

• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation while protecting patient confidentiality.

   

• Follow department policies, procedures, productivity standards, and quality requirements.

   

• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude.

   

• Perform other duties as assigned.

   

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

   

• Healthcare front-desk, patient access, or medical office experience is preferred but not required.

   

• Candidates with limited experience may be considered, as training will be provided to the right individual.

   

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

   

• Professional and positive demeanor.

   

• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.

   

• Proficient typing and keyboarding skills.

   

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

   

• Ability to learn Epic (EMR) and clinic workflows quickly.

   

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

   

• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling patient information.

   

• Ability to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
