About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and caring Childcare Van Driver to join our team in Philadelphia, PA! Responsibilities:
- Safely transport children to and from childcare facilities, schools, and designated pick-up/drop-off locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the van is in safe operating condition
- Maintain accurate attendance records and passenger logs for each route
- Supervise and assist children during boarding and exiting the vehicle
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company transportation policies
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and childcare staff regarding schedules or concerns
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and properly stocked with safety equipment
Requirements:
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with a clean driving record
- CDL or passenger endorsement preferred but not always required
- Previous experience driving children or in a childcare/transportation setting is a plus
- Must pass a background check and child abuse clearances as required by PA state law
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Patient, responsible, and nurturing demeanor with children
- Strong punctuality and time management skills
