Clinical Nutrition Program Manager

Find your calling at Mercy!The Q & S Clinical Nutrition Program Manager is responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of programs including pathways, order sets and other tools used across the continuum of care. Program Management is employed including but not limited to, educating, mentoring, and collaborating with providers and members of the clinical teams. Establishment of the timeline and meeting schedules required for efficient production/revision of work. As part of this work, they will act as subject matter expert for content that is, evidence-based, cost-effective and maintains clinical and quality excellence. The role requires extensive collaboration across multiple departments throughout the health ministry.

As a member of the Mercy Quality and Safety team the position will often be asked to participate in the development of clinical projects throughout the Ministry.

The position is required to work with leadership to establish the timelines of their projects and meet the needs and priorities of the department and Ministry. Standard work, whenever possible, should be employed while completing tasks and agreed upon deadlines are expected to be met. To be successful in this position, will need to collaborate with various co- workers who are proficient in the design of clinical content and workflow processes into the Epic EHR working directly with the Epic build teams and clinical experts. A thorough knowledge of evidence-based practice principles is needed. He or she will also be required to effectively communicate and develop ongoing relationships with Hospital and Ministry leadership. This is essential to the safe and effective implementation of the departments work.

The role of clinical programs, pathways and other process improvement tools and their development, particularly in the world of the EHR, is an evolving field. Thus, the candidate needs to be flexible and understand that the role and responsibilities of the position will potentially be one that is evolving.

This position comes with a great deal of autonomy and all duties/responsibilities are expected to be performed in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Position Details:

Education: Master's in Nutritional services or another health, science, technology, engineering or business field or equivalent work experience.
Licensure: Licensed Dietitian 
Experience: Clinical or Engineering background. 3 or more years of experience in leading projects, initiatives, or clinical operations at a progressive health system/environment/hospital; Training and implementation of clinical programs across multiple disciplines; Understanding of coding, clinical documentation, and CMS guidelines.
