Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain backend services for production systems. The role focuses on building robust, scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot, collaborating across product and engineering teams, and delivering high-quality code. Fluency in Korean is required to communicate with stakeholders and documentation. Familiarity with Nest.js, working with large datasets, and advanced database query optimization are strong pluses.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code; participate in code reviews and follow best practices.
• Build and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Optimize application performance and database queries for services that handle large datasets.
• Implement automated tests and CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable releases.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
• Document system designs, APIs, and runbooks; communicate status and trade-offs in Korean and English as needed.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with Java + Spring Boot, or Nest.js.
• Experience working with large datasets and writing complex database queries.
• Fluency in Korean (spoken and written) required for effective team and stakeholder communication.
