What You'll Do

As a Community Response Specialist, you will:

• Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating that recovery and personal growth are possible.
• Build trusting relationships with individuals in recovery and provide ongoing encouragement and support.
• Assist participants in identifying their personal strengths, interests, goals, and pathways to success.
• Conduct community outreach and case management activities to connect individuals with valuable resources and services.
• Maintain accurate project logs, reports, case notes, and records within databases and tracking systems.
• Collaborate with team members and community partners to ensure participants receive comprehensive support.
• Help create an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive environment for individuals from diverse backgrounds.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 12 months of successful paid or volunteer work experience within the last three years.
• Eligibility to obtain or maintain Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, data entry systems, case documentation, and report writing.
• Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
• Experience working with individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• A genuine passion for helping others reach their full potential.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Previous experience in recovery services, behavioral health, social services, community outreach, or case management.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hartford, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $33.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
