Job Description
Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting elementary-aged children as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in an autism program. In this essential role, you’ll help shape positive outcomes for students in a dynamic classroom environment, collaborating closely with educators and support staff to foster both academic and behavioral growth.
Ideal candidates will bring a strong foundation of school-based experience, especially in working with children requiring physical interventions, along with a commitment to data-driven approaches to behavioral support. Adaptability is paramount, as classroom assignments could change based on evolving needs within the school.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification
- Active Delaware PARA Permit
- Previous school-based experience, particularly with elementary-aged students
- Skilled in implementing physical intervention strategies with care and professionalism
- Proven ability to collect and analyze behavioral and instructional data within educational settings
- Comfortable and willing to perform bathroom and hygiene duties, including toileting, diapering, and wiping
- Strong team player with flexibility to assist wherever needed
- Reliable transportation and readiness to work onsite for full scheduled hours (8:45 AM – 4:15 PM EST, 37.5 hours/week, with a daily 30-minute break)
- Willingness to participate in Google Meets interviews
Responsibilities:
- Provide behavior intervention and instructional support tailored to student needs
- Accurately collect, document, and report behavioral data to inform instructional strategies
- Assist with toileting and hygiene routines as an integral part of student support
- Collaborate with classroom teams to create a safe and supportive learning environment
- Remain adaptable to changing classroom assignments as needed
