Avionics Technician

Job Description

Join a Part 145 repair station supporting corporate jets and general aviation aircraft. This role focuses on avionics troubleshooting, installations, upgrades, and repairs on platforms including Falcon, Gulfstream, Learjet, Hawker, Challenger, Citation, King Air, Piper, and Beechcraft aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install avionics systems and components.
• Perform avionics upgrades, modifications, and ADS-B installations.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Fabricate, route, terminate, and test wiring and harness assemblies.
• Conduct system integration, continuity checks, and functional testing.
• Document maintenance and installation work in accordance with Part 145 requirements.
• Collaborate with A&P mechanics and technicians to meet maintenance schedules and customer deadlines.

Requirements

• 3+ years of avionics experience on corporate, general aviation, military, or commercial aircraft.
• Strong troubleshooting, installation, and repair experience.
• Ability to read and interpret avionics and electrical drawings.
• Experience with wiring, harness fabrication, terminations, and system integration.
• Familiarity with Garmin avionics, ADS-B upgrades, and related modifications.
• Part 145 repair station experience preferred.
• A&P certification is a plus.
• Personal avionics tools required and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Work Environment

• Hangar-based position at Washington County Airport.
• Work as part of a small, team-oriented maintenance organization supporting multiple aircraft types.
• Hands-on environment with opportunities for long-term growth, advancement, and overtime.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, PA.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
