Restoration Technician/Lead Technician

Steamatic of Southwest Houston is looking for a dependable, hardworking Restoration Technician / Lead Technician to join our growing team. We provide water damage restoration, mold remediation, fire and smoke restoration, specialty cleaning, and reconstruction services throughout Southwest Houston and surrounding communities.

No restoration experience is required. We are willing to train the right person. We are looking for someone who is dependable, takes pride in their work, communicates well, and is willing to learn and grow with the company. Previous drywall, painting, construction, remodeling, maintenance, or general handyman experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to residential and commercial water damage and restoration projects
• Set up containment and drying equipment, including air movers, dehumidifiers, and air scrubbers
• Perform water extraction, controlled demolition, and removal of affected materials
• Take and document moisture readings and assist with daily equipment monitoring
• Perform mold remediation and detailed cleaning following company procedures
• Remove and replace drywall, baseboards, trim, and other building materials as needed
• Assist with drywall finishing, texture, painting, and other light reconstruction work
• Take jobsite photos and accurately document work completed
• Load, unload, clean, and maintain equipment, tools, and company vehicles
• Maintain clean and professional jobsites
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and management
• For experienced candidates, serve as a Lead Technician, helping direct crews and manage work in the field

What We're Looking For

• No restoration experience required — we will train
• Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable performing physical work, demolition, cleaning, and construction-related tasks
• Drywall, painting, remodeling, maintenance, or construction experience is a strong plus
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers
• Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate company vehicles
• Willingness to work occasional after-hours or emergency jobs when needed
• Restoration/IICRC experience is a plus but not required
