Job Summary

We are seeking a self-motivated, hardworking, talented, and personable Hair Stylist to join our growing salon team! As the premier blowout salon in Stark County, we are looking for stylists who take pride in their work, have a strong work ethic, and are motivated to provide an exceptional experience for every client.

The ideal candidate is someone who is dependable, driven, energetic, and willing to go above and beyond—not only for their clients, but for the salon and their team. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, stays productive, is eager to learn, and understands that success in a salon comes from both great hair and great customer service.

This position is a great opportunity for a stylist who wants to build a loyal clientele, grow their skills, increase their earning potential, and be part of a positive, fast-paced salon environment. Blowout experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates the right attitude and work ethic.

The Hair Stylist will provide professional hair services, maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, build client relationships, recommend products and services, and contribute to the overall success of the salon.

Please note: We are closed on Sundays.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide professional blowouts and hair services while creating a memorable client experience.
• Consult with clients to understand their desired look and recommend appropriate styles and products.
• Take initiative and stay productive throughout each shift without needing constant direction.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through personalized service and follow-up.
• Provide outstanding customer service by creating a friendly, professional, and welcoming atmosphere.
• Confidently recommend and sell retail products based on each client's individual hair care needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, workstations, and salon areas according to health and safety standards.
• Assist with front desk responsibilities, including scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and processing payments when needed.
• Work collaboratively with the salon team and contribute to a positive, supportive work environment.
• Be willing to learn, accept feedback, and continuously improve your skills.
• Look for ways to help the salon, your team, and your clients rather than waiting to be asked.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid cosmetology license is required.
• Blowout experience is preferred but not required—we will train the right candidate.
• Self-motivated and hardworking with a strong desire to succeed.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to providing consistent, high-quality service.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable interacting with a variety of clients and building lasting relationships.
• Knowledge of current hair trends, styling techniques, and sanitation standards.
• Comfortable recommending and selling retail products while keeping the client's needs first.
• Ability to work independently while also being a positive and supportive team member.
• Willingness to learn new techniques, take direction, and grow professionally.
• Previous retail sales or front desk experience is a plus, but not required.
