Job description: Concrete Plant / Highway Construction Laborer

Overview:

This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are at the forefront. In this position, you will assist with the operation of concrete mixing equipment, support fabrication and manufacturing processes. You will also assist with the installation of our products on highways & on the trafficways with teams, involving heavy equipment operation. You will also make sure that production standards are met with enthusiasm and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Assist with setup and operation of equipment and other machinery used in concrete production.

Support fabrication tasks including welding, machining, and interpreting technical drawings using CAD software.

Following safety standards during all phases of production, including power tool safety and heavy lifting protocols.

Conduct routine inspections of tools & equipment and notify maintenance of any mechanical issues. Duties may include unloading and loading materials; aligning, securing and layout of material; traffic control duties; and other various tasks.

Having a Class A or B commercial driver license (CDL) is preferred but not required. For those applicants who do not currently possess a CDL license, a valid DOT medical certificate should be obtained.

Applicants must have a valid driver's license and must be legally permitted to drive. Must have a clean driving record (moving violations and accidents will be reviewed through a Motor Vehicle Record report).

Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly throughout the day; must be 18 years of age to apply; and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Work Schedule: Work schedule varies. Applicants must be available to work overtime and rain make-up on days. Ability to stay out of town overnight may be required for highway construction laborers.

We offer weekly pay and per diem. Incentives given for laborers who have their CDL license.

Work Area: At the concrete plant, or as a highway construction laborer (Throughout PA).

Experience:

Prior experience in construction or manufacturing environments is highly desirable.

Familiarity with concrete mixer operation, concrete finishing techniques, and mixture design properties.

Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, cranes, or other machinery used in construction sites or plants.

Mechanical knowledge related to the fabrication processes including welding, machining, and interpreting directions.
