Job Summary
Radiologic Technologist (Xray Technologist) Location: Not specified. This position involves operating radiology equipment to produce diagnostic images of the body. Job Details
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
- Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology (ARRT-R).
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Zero (0) to six (6) months of related experience.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Operates radiology equipment and adjusts settings for proper exposure according to procedure requirements.
- Prepares and positions patients for radiologic examinations, providing verbal and written instructions to ensure cooperation and reduce anxiety.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Ensures infection control policies are followed, including proper use of protective devices and patient shielding.
- Assists with monitoring patients under moderate sedation, ensuring informed consent has been obtained.
- Supports department and hospital goals through continuous personal development and participation in mandatory in-service training.
- Works collaboratively with healthcare professionals and staff to provide optimal patient care.
- Maintains and stocks examination rooms with necessary supplies.
