Job Description
COBRA ELECTRIC SERVICE INC is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to deliver high-quality electrical installations, repairs, and service in support of customer and project needs.
Position SummaryThe Journeyman Electrician will perform skilled electrical work across residential, commercial, or industrial settings, ensuring installations and repairs meet applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements. This role emphasizes independent troubleshooting, quality workmanship, and a strong commitment to safe jobsite practices.
You will work as a trusted trade professional, taking ownership of assigned tasks while coordinating effectively with team members and other stakeholders to keep projects progressing efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and components according to plans, specifications, and electrical code requirements.
Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to complete work accurately.
Perform electrical testing and inspections to verify proper operation, safety, and compliance.
Maintain a clean, organized jobsite and follow established safety procedures, including safe handling of tools and equipment.
Coordinate with supervisors and crew members to support timely completion of assigned tasks and project milestones.
Journeyman-level electrical experience with a demonstrated ability to work independently and current Oklahoma license.
Strong understanding of electrical theory, wiring methods, and safe installation and repair practices.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
Knowledge of electrical codes and requirements applicable to the work being performed.
Willingness to follow jobsite safety standards and work reliably in an onsite environment.
Experience working across multiple project types (such as service calls, upgrades, or new installations).
Proven troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing system issues and implementing effective corrective actions.
Demonstrated professionalism in customer-facing or jobsite communication.
Experience leading or mentoring less-experienced electricians as needed.
