Reports to: BP Station Manager
Type: Full-Time; Exempt

Position Summary: The BP Deli Prep position is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the deli section within the accommodation and food services industry. This role focuses on preparing high-quality deli products, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and supporting the deli team to meet customer demands promptly. The successful candidate will contribute to food safety standards by following proper handling and storage procedures. Attention to detail and consistency in product preparation are critical to delivering an excellent customer experience. Ultimately, this role supports the overall success of the deli by ensuring products are fresh, well-prepared, and available during operating hours.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare deli meats, cheeses, salads, and other food items according to company recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, equipment, and utensils in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in receiving and storing deli inventory, ensuring proper rotation and minimizing waste.
- Support deli staff by replenishing displays and ensuring products are attractively presented.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe and hygienic work environment.
- Prep food sandwiches and other food products fresh daily following all provided recipes and following standard operating procedures.
- Slice, cut and package meats, cheese, fruit and vegetables.
- Package goods used to prep or sell in store.
- Stock shelves and refrigerators when needed.
- Wash all utensils used to perform the job.
- Maintain work area, coolers and freezer organized and clean.
- Receive, check and put away food orders as needed.
- Monitor product rotation and expiration dates.
- Follow all Food Handling guidelines.
- Report any product shortages immediately to Manager on duty.
- Monitor food sales to help reduce waste and shortages within all food products.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations for self-protection, customers, co-workers, and business.
- Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses to alternative solutions and conclusions to a problem.
- Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to perform a job.
- The ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
- The ability to stand more than 8 hours and lift more than 30lbs.
- The ability to multitask and complete tasks assigned in a fast paced environment.
- The ability to communicate and coordinate well with others by displaying respect to customers and co-workers.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Job requires developing a practical working environment along with self-guiding with little or no supervision.

- Must have flexible hours and work nights & weekends.

Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- 2 years of previous work related experience
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Familiarity with slicing equipment and deli machinery.
- Food Handler’s Certification or equivalent.

Physical stamina and manual dexterity are essential for handling food preparation tasks efficiently and safely.
