Design Project Manager

Position Summary

The Project Manager will lead architectural and engineering services for the structural evaluation and rehabilitation design of the aerial structures. The role will coordinate the project team’s field inspections, nondestructive testing, condition assessments, engineering evaluations, and design deliverables.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Manage project schedules, budgets, and overall delivery milestones.
• Serve as the primary point of coordination and communication with the client.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary structural assessment and design activities across three locations.
• Track project findings, decisions, action items, and deliverables to maintain alignment across project teams.
• Oversee quality reviews of rehabilitation design documents and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Manage the timely completion and submission of rehabilitation design documents.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams performing structural assessments and rehabilitation design.
• Apply experience working within operating transit or transportation facilities to support safe, practical, and constructible design solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 8-12 years of relevant professional experience.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000

Physical Requirements The incumbent in this position can typically expect to sit and use his/her hands to handle and feel for more than 1/3 of the day. He/she can expect to stand or walk for more than 2/3 of the day. Talking and listening are also expected for more than 2/3 of the day. The ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, or reach with arms will be needed for less than 2/3 of the day.

This position requires that the incumbent be able to lift items up to 70 pounds on an infrequent basis.

The incumbent in this position should have clear vision at 20 inches or less. He/she should be able to view various reports and forms as well as information displayed on a computer monitor and have the ability to distinguish between different colors. Depth perception, peripheral vision, the ability to focus, and the ability to see from a distance are also necessary.
