Job Description:
The Shipping Associate I will assist the Warehouse Manager/Assistant Shipping Supervisor in all aspects of the day-to-day shipping operations – including but not limited to shipping, receiving, case packing, stocking, and warehousing of raw materials and finished goods ready for shipping. Reports to the Warehouse Manager.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. The employee is regularly required to stand or sit for periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 35 pounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Packaging (cases & pieces) for stock on shelves and shipping
· Very familiar with product weight list (dims & weights) for all types of shipping configurations
· Physically transfer raw materials and sterile loads ready for final packaging to production based on requests
· Physically transfer finished goods and sterile loads ready for shipment
· Process RTP sales orders into shipping program – print and label packages
· Very familiar with all “zones” and areas of the warehouse
· Ensure all products are clean before packaging for shipping (i.e., amber bags labels)
· Proficient in double-checking that all products are damage-free and proper labels are placed on each box or bag
· Responsible for picking all orders
· Daily/weekly housekeeping in the warehouse
· Certified to operate Little Joe and the Forklifts (stand-up and sit-down models)
· Proficient at completing ALL necessary quality system paperwork, i.e., Device History Record
· Daily tasks are performed based on controlled Quality Documents, as applicable
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent required
Skills:
· Ability to follow directions and work well in a team
· Detail-oriented with good organization and time management skills
· Good written & oral communication skills, ability to read & comprehend working instructions written in English
· Motivated, self-driven, and independent
· MS Office proficient (Excel, Word, Outlook)
· Knowledge of ERP system
· Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable Cal-OSHA and environmental regulations
