Equipment Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Service Manager with a practical mechanical background to lead shop operations. This role is crucial for managing repair workflows, advising customers, supporting technicians, and effectively filing and contesting dealer warranty claims to overturn denials. Pay is based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily service department operations, repair schedules, and technician workflows.
• Interface directly with equipment manufacturers and distributors to file, track, and advocate for warranty claims.
• Communicate technical repair estimates, diagnostic findings, and completion timelines directly to retail and commercial clients.
• Provide mechanical insight and troubleshooting assistance on complex repairs across both small engine and heavy machinery lines.
• Maintain accurate work orders, inventory usage, and shop service records.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years in equipment service management, dealership operations, or advanced mechanical repair.
• Practical mechanical knowledge across two distinct machinery categories:
• • Outdoor Power Equipment, Small Engines & Powersports: (chainsaws, weed whackers, trimmers, push mowers, lawn mowers, log splitters, generators, ATVs, and side-by-sides)
  • Heavy Machinery: (forklifts, skid steers, agricultural equipment)
• Demonstrated ability to read technical specs/schematics and navigate warranty submission processes effectively.
• Strong leadership, customer service, and organization skills.
