A well‐respected boutique firm in Sheffield is seeking a Trust & Estate Associate to join its growing practice. This role is ideal for an attorney with 2-5 years of experience in estate planning, trust work, and probate who is looking to build a long‐term career with a busy, client‐focused team. The firm maintains strong referral relationships with financial planning groups, creating a steady flow of high‐quality work and opportunities for professional growth.

 

Responsibilities 

• Draft and review wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents 

• Assist with advanced planning matters, including specialty trusts and tax‐sensitive strategies 

• Handle probate filings, estate administration, guardianships, and related proceedings 

• Conduct client meetings, gather information, and develop customized estate plans 

• Work with financial planners, CPAs, and other professionals to coordinate comprehensive planning 

• Prepare trust funding documents and assist clients with asset alignment 

• Research estate, trust, and tax issues and provide recommendations to supervising attorneys 

• Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines across multiple matters 

• Support elder law matters as needed, including Medicaid planning and long‐term care strategies 

• Communicate professionally with clients, beneficiaries, fiduciaries, and court personnel 

 

Qualifications 

• 2–5 years of experience in trust and estate law 

• Strong drafting skills and familiarity with estate planning documents 

• Tax background or coursework strongly preferred 

• Experience with probate and estate administration 

• Litigation experience is helpful but not required 

• Excellent communication, organization, and client‐service skills 

• Ability to manage multiple matters independently and work collaboratively with a team 

• Ohio Bar admission required
