Repair Technician

Repair Center Technician | Direct Hire | Wixom, MI

Scope: Will be repairing components for customer - clean components, test, find a solution and fix it

Must be mechanically & electrically include

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Diagnose and repair equipment issues, often using diagnostic tools, technical manuals and schematic diagrams.
• Inspect incoming products and evaluate for repairs.
• Generate detailed repair quote for customer and update in the database.
• Perform approved repairs and verify correct operation.
• Perform QC verification of completed repairs.
• Inspect warranty claims from customers.
• May train other personnel in the repair of equipment.
• Other duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• May hold a certificate in a relevant field, such as tool repair or machine maintenance.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with troubleshooting/ resolving equipment issues.
• Strong blueprint and technical reading skills required.
• PC and MS Office proficient

PERSONALITY REQUIREMENTS/ATTRIBUTES AND BEHAVIORS:

• Able to operate effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively in writing.
• Self-motivated and driven to achieve targets.
• Strong attention to detail is crucial.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
